8-Year-Old Wants to say Thank You for Saving his Life

ORCHARD PARK, NY--Eight-year-old Nick Mangano of Springville found himself in Women and Children's Hospital last winter following a snowmobile accident with his dad. After making a full recovery, he decided it was time to give back, and say thank you to the people who helped save his life.

Nick set up shop in his uncle's garage in Orchard Park to sell off some of his old toys and belongings in an old fashioned garage sale.  Of course, many family members contributed items to raise money for Women and Children's Hospital.

Back in March, Nick was riding on the back of his dad's snowmobile near their home in Springville when another snowmobile crossed their path and struck them, throwing Nick onto the ground.  Nick was taken by by Mercy Flight to Women and Children's with a ruptured spleen and broken facial bones.  But, after about a week in the hospital, he was well enough to go home.
