Urban Valet is offering a chance to win two Buffalo Bandits tickets to anyone who donates a gown to Legislator Lynne Dixon’s Prom Dress Drive on Saturday, March 24 at any of Urban Valet’s locations. All donors will receive a coupon for 25 percent off their next cleaning as well.
Each donor will receive one coupon and one chance to win two Bandits tickets to a home game. Multiple coupons or chances to win will not be given for multiple dresses. Dresses can be donated during the following times:
- 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hamburg, 106B Evans Street,
- 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Orchard Park, 4081 North Buffalo Road
- 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Buffalo, 620 Elmwood Avenue
The winner will be drawn and contacted on Monday, March 26.
“It’s really been exciting to watch this program grow. The young ladies that come to select dresses are always so excited and, more often than not, leave with dresses far better than they ever imagined. This year we are offering a little thank you to all of the folks that are generous enough and take the time to come in and drop off a dress. The incredible response always amazes me,” said Eric Pyne, president of Urban Valet.
Legislator Dixon announced her 3rd Annual Prom Dress Drive earlier this month and is hoping to collect nearly a 1,000 dresses to give high school students in need an opportunity to select a free dress for prom.
“Prom is an exciting time for high school students and this dress drive helps ensure everyone has a perfect dress for the big dance. We have had students whose parents are struggling during these difficult economic times, and others who just don’t see the sense in spending a few hundred dollars for a dress. This is also a great opportunity to be environmentally conscience and reuse dresses that were only worn once,” Legislator Dixon said. “I can’t thank Urban Valet enough for not only donating their resources to clean every single dress, but also for offering a discount and chance to win Bandits tickets to donors.”
All high schools students are welcome to shop for a free dress on one of two Shopping Days scheduled. Hamburg High School will host this year’s shopping event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21.
