Wegmans Responds to Flyover at Bills Game

ORCHARD PARK, NY - Western New York Twitter accounts were all aflutter Sunday afternoon with photos of a flyover that happened during the Bills-Ravens game.

The plane trailed a banner reading WEGMANS WANTS BUFFALO TO LOSE.

Turns out it was not a comment on Sunday's game at all. Members of Teamsters Local 118 are scheduled to vote Monday on a contract being offered by Wegmans Food Markets. According to a report published Friday in Rochester's Democrat and Chronicle, Wegmans and about 900 employees working in transportation and distribution are in a dispute over pension contributions.

A Tweet from Wegmans responding to the aerial kerfuffle Sunday stated: "Teamsters Union hired plane to embarrass us. Wegmans says 'GoBills'!"
