SUV Driver Strikes Motorcyclist, Charged with DWI | News

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Police say the driver of an SUV turned in front of a motorcycle, injuring the rider, and then left the scene. He was later located and found to have a B.A.C. three and a half times the legal limit.

Jason Garey, 30, of Orchard Park, is charged with Aggravated DWI and leaving the scene of an injury accident.

Police responded to a report of an accident on Abbot near Elmtree shortly after midnight. Officers determined that an SUV turned into a driveway in front of a motorcycle operated by Michael Hruschak, 51, of Blasdell, causing a collision.

Garey left the scene but was located a short time later.

Hruschak suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to ECMC.
