Local Company to Introduce New Neck Training Equipment in 2011

Primordial Strength Inc. of East Aurora announced today that manufacturing of their proprietary four-way neck machine has begun, and that the equipment will be available for retail sales within the next few months.  

Founded in 2007 by Steven Helmicki, Primordial Strength Inc. is a leader in neck and trapezius training and the anti-concussion movement. Helmicki has also written a book, The Art of the Neck: Training for Distortion, which is said to be the most comprehensive neck training manual on the market for athletes. Members of the New York State Bar Association, school board trustees, athletic directors and numerous local athletes are among those who have signed a petition asking New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to mandate anti-concussion ordinances at the local, regional and state level. The petition was created by Primordial Strength Inc. of East Aurora, in conjunction with the Sports Legacy Institute.

Kaleida Hosts Heart-Healthy Dance Lessons

Event Will Include Expert Health Screenings

Join Spirit of Women to dance, laugh, eat, and learn at the Day of Dance Event, a community-based event hosted by Kaleida Health to improve women’s health on Thursday February 17 from 6-9 pm at the Millennium Hotel on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga, NY.

The Buffalo Athletic Club (BAC) will feature demonstrations and instructions on dancing sensations including Zumba at the event for everyone to get involved.

The Day of Dance will also include a wide range of available health experts, screenings and information on important cardiovascular issues like stroke education, blood pressure checks, and body mass index screening.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at all Kaleida Health cashier offices and at the Millennium Hotel the night of the event.
